English Week Celebration 英語周活動

Learning a language helps us to effectively communicate with and better understand others. In Hefei World Foreign Language School International Primary Department, it is no different. Just recently, HWFLS International Primary Department concluded its English Week Celebration. An array of contests was conducted for all grade levels with the aim of enhancing students’ English language skills as well as developing students confidence and communication skills. English Week kicked-off with Story Reading Contest.
學(xué)習(xí)語言有助于我們有效地與他人進(jìn)行溝通交流，并能夠幫助我們更好地理解他人。對于我校國際小學(xué)部來說也不例外。就在最近，我校國際小學(xué)部結(jié)束了英語周的慶祝活動。為提高學(xué)生的英語語言能力，增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的自信心和提升學(xué)生的溝通技巧，小學(xué)各年級都舉辦了一系列豐富多彩的英語比賽。英語周以故事朗讀比賽拉開帷幕。
Students from Grade 3 and Grade 4 had a lot of fun while showcasing their story reading skills. The judges had a hard time choosing the best as every contestant was filled with energy, expression, and enthusiasm. Contestants were adjudged based on their stage presence, voice and articulation, evidence of understanding, entertainment value, gestures, movements and expression.
三年級和四年級的學(xué)生們在故事朗讀比賽中，不僅展示了他們出色的朗讀技巧，而且在整個過程中非常享受比賽，玩得很開心。每位選手都充滿活力、非常熱情，評委們很難選出最好的。本次比賽的評判標(biāo)準(zhǔn)主要依據(jù)參賽選手們的舞臺表現(xiàn)、發(fā)音、理解能力、娛樂性、手勢、動作和表情。
Students from Grade 5 and Grade 6 engaged in Spelling Contest.It was a tough and exciting event as all the spellers came prepared to win the race.
五年級和六年級學(xué)生們在拼字大賽中角逐激烈，但是所有參賽者都做好了充分的準(zhǔn)備，整個比賽非常精彩、激動人心。
Students from Grade 1 and Grade 2 also competed in Grammar Race. The questions were challenging but they were not fazed but rather motivated to bring home the bacon.
一年級和二年級的學(xué)生們也參加了英語語法競賽。在比賽中，很多題目都具有挑戰(zhàn)性，但他們并沒有被嚇倒，而是勇往直前，努力去贏得比賽。
All the competitors had a fantastic time and were high in spirits during the contest. Every student boosted their confidence by presenting in front of others and competed enthusiastically with their fellow competitors.
所有的參賽者都拿出了他們最好的狀態(tài)，盡情地享受整個比賽。每個學(xué)生都很自信，展示自己，與他們的競爭對手一決高下。

Indeed, the events were an enriching experience for our students. These competitions motivated them to perform and excel even more, offered a lot more reward other than winning prizes and helped our students nurture their experience and skills further.
這次的英語周活動對我們的學(xué)生來說是一次豐富的經(jīng)歷。在比賽中也激發(fā)了他們的表現(xiàn)欲，使他們變得更優(yōu)秀。另外，我們?yōu)楹⒆觽兲峁┝撕芏嗟莫勂罚@次的活動有助于我們的學(xué)生收獲豐富的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，提高他們的英語技能。
